note: We will be navigating through chapters 8-11 with the next three packets.  The text focus will be on the pages I have given.  Also, although King Cotton and Abolitionism are parts of these chapters, we will not focus on these topics yet.  We will return to these topics when we begin our focus on sectionalism and the impact of cotton on the South.  This will be part of packet # 9.

*for Monday 11/18- complete the reading on immigration pp. 1-2 packet and complete the task IN YOUR NOTES.  This is your responsibility and will serve as excellent contextualization for the Market Revolution.  We will probably use most of class time discussing the LEQs.
HW 17- due 11/19- After reading assigned packet and text readings, answer the following question, using specific evidence: Evaluate the impact of the federal and state laws that supported the growth of markets, the transportation network, and tariffs.
HW 18- due 11/21-Task, p. 15
